The Women’s Institute for Financial Education (WIFE.org) is the oldest non-profit organization dedicated to providing financial education to women in their quest for financial independence and higher quality of life. Founded by Candace Bahr and Ginita Wall, renowned experts in women’s finances, their mission was to connect women with resources to help them prosper and grow financially. WIFE.org has gained national prominence, and WIFE.org recently was named one of the top 500 financial sites by Online Investor. WIFE.org has captured the interest of women seeking financial advice as well as the press seeking financial information for women.
One of the important services WIFE.org offers is the Second Saturday workshop and class, which is designed to help women survive the divorce process without falling into the common major financial, legal and emotional pitfalls. Since the workshop has been such a highly regarded resource for women, WIFE.org expanded the program across the nation in 2014.
At Second Saturday Austin, which started in 2006, we have united a team of qualified local professionals (Family Law and Divorce Attorneys, Marriage Counselors/Therapist and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst and Planners) to provide attendees with the knowledge and resources they need to survive the divorce process and move on toward better things. Held on the second Saturday of every month at Riverbend Church in Building 5B.
